Fifty-two to sixteen. That’s the ratio of women to men coming out of the Macy’s in the Westfield shopping mall in San Jose this evening.
I had some time to wait before meeting Mary so I thought it’d be fun to count the people coming out. I skipped the ones coming in since I didn’t want duplicates. I also ignored kids since they’re most likely not spending money. In the short 15 minutes or so that I was waiting, my very unscientific study showed that 3.25 women for each man came out of the store. It’s an interesting view into the demographic of people shopping at Macy’s.
